National City, CA - May 2010 - To expand our long tradition of serving the communities of San Diego, Heath Funeral Home has changed to San Diego Mortuary & Cremation Care. The chapel within the facility has been named the Howard Heath Chapel to honor his many years of service to the community.
National City, CA -September 2008 - Heath Funeral Home in National City has a long tradition as a family owned independent mortuary. So when Howard Heath, founder and operator since 1946, decided it was time to retire he wanted that legacy to live on; which is why he decided to sell to the King family, who have been providing funeral and cremation service to San Diego Families for over 30 years.
The Kings also own and operate El Cajon-Lakeside-Santee Mortuary and Cremation, Paris Frederick Mortuary in El Cajon and Cremation & Burial Society of San Diego. The addition of Heath Funeral Home gives the Kings an opportunity to serve the families of the South County.
